San Cristóbal Mine

Location
The San Cristóbal mine is located at an elevation of approximately 13,000 feet in the Bolivian Altiplano in the Andes Mountains, approximately 500 kilometers south of the city of La Paz. The San Cristóbal mine is accessible by an improved gravel road from the town of Uyuni, approximately 100 kilometers to the northeast, and from the Chilean border town of Ollagüe, approximately 135 kilometers to the west.

The mine is located approximately 50 kilometers south of a railroad that runs between Bolivia and Chile. A spur has been built to connect the mine to the railroad for the shipment of concentrates. MSC has constructed a private airstrip at the mine, which is used primarily for the transport of personnel.
