Mr. Castanos joined Golden Minerals as Executive Vice President in July 2023 and was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in June 2024. Mr. Castanos has over 20 years of global and strategic leadership expertise, including 12 years in the mining industry, with past positions focusing on strategic planning, finance, compliance, sustainability, government affairs and risk management. From 2017 to 2023, he served as managing partner at a real estate development and construction company. From 2013 to 2016, he worked at Goldcorp Inc. (now Newmont Corporation) in Vancouver, Canada, initially as director of environmental compliance and subsequently as vice president of corporate social responsibility. From 2009 to 2013, he worked at Golden Minerals, first as director and later vice president of corporate affairs. Between 2007 and 2009, he served as director of investor relations with Apex Silver Mines, and from 2004 to 2007 he served as corporate manager of Minera San Cristóbal, the largest silver, zinc and lead mine in Bolivia. Mr. Castanos holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance, with honors, from Gabriela Mistral University in Santiago, Chile.

Mr. Jiwani was appointed Chief Financial Officer at Golden Minerals in June 2025. Mr. Jiwani is an accomplished finance executive with nearly two decades of experience in accounting, financial management, and corporate governance. He currently serves as the CFO of Perseverance Metals Inc. and a Director and CFO of Inomin Mines Inc., both publicly listed companies in the mining and exploration sector. In these roles, Mr. Jiwani leads financial reporting and treasury management for these companies. Previously, Mr. Jiwani served as CFO of multiple reporting issuers where he directed financial operations, supported complex transactions such as reverse takeovers, and enhanced compliance across international jurisdictions. He also served as a Senior Manager at Avisar Chartered Professional Accountants, providing leadership for publicly listed companies, and as Manager in the Audit and Assurance Group at PwC LLP in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Jiwani is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) in Canada and holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Information Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas. With extensive experience in strategic planning, public company compliance, and international financial operations, he brings a robust skill set to support the growth and governance of the Company.
